About

ACLP offers a self-assessment component that can earn CLP 2021 attendees up to eight (8) hours of maintenance of certification (MOC) credits. These credits reflect: the time you put into the test itself; the time you will spend reviewing the answers; and the time you intend to devote at the meeting to following up your questions. Eight hours is the average most people would spend for a test this size.

These credits can apply to any psychiatry certification you hold; you can use them to meet your requirements for General Psychiatry, for example, as well as Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. The self-assessment is free for all registrants.

You do not need to be seeking recertification to participate in the meeting's self-assessment component. It can be useful even if you are a trainee. All results will be confidential and are for the education of only the test-taker. Results will be shared only in aggregate to help participants understand how they compare to the group.

Approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed the ACLP MOC SA Annual Meeting Test and has approved this activity as a part of a comprehensive self-assessment activity, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of Continuing Certification.

For more information about MOC and the self-assessment requirement, visit this page of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology website: http://www.abpn.com/maintain-certification/maintenance-of-certification-program/. A handy guide prepared by ABPN can be downloaded from https://www.abpn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/ABPN-Guide-to-MOC.pdf

How it works:

  • October 21 - all registrants up to this date will be emailed a link to a self-assessment test of 100 multiple-choice questions that cover information presented at the meeting.

  • November 8 - participants that have completed the test by this point receive: (1) a copy of the test (questions and answers), with reference to the presentation at the meeting to which each question relates, and (2) an analysis of each question based on all responses received for the exam, so that attendees can compare their responses to other test-takers. If you miss this deadline, you will instead receive the aggregated test analysis after the rest closes on November 30.

All test-takers are emailed test results and an MOC credit certificate immediately after completing the test.

If you registered for the meeting and do not have the link to access the online test, or if you have taken the test and do not have your results or your confirmation documentation, please contact the Academy office at info@CLpsychiatry.org

The MOC test will be available through November 30. Please ensure you have completed your online test by that date. The test is only available to meeting attendees.
